It is an outstanding achievement to be recognised by industry leaders and within the Hilton family.“I transferred the sensation of the ocean onto a plate by incorporating creamy textures and fresh seafood flavours. To enhance this experience, I also combined crispy textures and smoky flavours with the subtlety of the steamed fish flavours,” Lee says. The Culinary Cup was awarded by an industry judging panel including Stokehouse Brisbane executive chef Richard Ousby and Electrolux Ambassador Sean Connolly. On behalf of prize sponsors Electrolux Professional Australia and Stoddart Australia, William will attend the Worldchefs Congress in Kuala Lumpur before flying to Pordenone, Italy for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Electrolux Centre of Excellence. In the spirit of cultivating outstanding culinary talent, Ronald van Weezel, General Manager of Hilton Sydney says,“Hilton Hotels are known for excelling in culinary and beverage experiences, it’s part of our heritage. Our commitment to career development does not end after the competition. It is an ongoing focus – and will remain an ongoing focus across Hilton Worldwide.”The program is strongly supported by managers who are dedicated to giving their time and skills to assist participants in their preparation. This enables managers to benefit from further developing their own leadership skills through applying a range of coaching techniques that will in turn ignite their own passion for developing others and seeing their team members succeed.Source = Hilton Sydneylast_img read more
