After the bill narrowly passed in U.S. House of Representatives, the governor released a statement condemning the passage of the bill saying that it was a sad day for millions who now continue to worry about access to health care.Governor Wolf kicked off the week by visiting BAE systems in York and announcing the company’s plan to expand and create 530 new jobs. The governor also announced new investments to stimulate small business development and workforce training. On Friday, Governor Wolf hosted a press conference to announce a Fair-Chance hiring policy that will remove the criminal conviction question, otherwise known as “banning the box”, from non-civil service employment applications.Governor Wolf joined PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards and officials to announce several 2017 construction season projects in the south central region of the state, specifically the Route 283 reconstruction project.
